The seasonal north spot, at Wattana Resort in Chaloklum. The first season of the year, on a north-east wind, on-shore to side-on.
Chaloklum Beach sits on the north coast of the island, at Wattana Resort. A flat spot in a lagoon of white sand protected by a coral reef, with clear 30 °C water all year.
We ride here from mid-November to mid-December/mid-January, when the wind comes from the North-East. It is on-shore to side-on, a safe direction for beginners and advanced riders alike.
The depth runs between 0.5 m and 1.5 m depending on the tide, so you can stand up everywhere on the spot. Wind is usually 10 to 15 knots, sometimes 20 to 25 and more.
There is a bar and a restaurant on the beach, with chill-out areas and a sandbar that suits beginners and pro riders alike.
Wattana Resort offers accommodation in private bungalows, right on the spot.
Main school base · Thong Sala
Accrokite's main base, hosted at Slumber Party Beach Club & Resort. The spot of the main season, on a thermal south-east wind that is usually the most regular and the strongest of the year.
