So yes, there are some steps to validate before performing, but nothing too complicated, especially if you are already an adept of foil or water sports (surfing, paddle, windsurfing, kitesurfing etc.)

The most difficult thing in Wing Foiling & Foil Board is the water start!

To get up in wingfoil you have to forget the beachstart.
Everything happens on the water with wing foiling!

Here are the steps:

  • Get in the water with your hydrofoil and the wing
  • Sit on your knees in the middle of the board
  • Still on your knees, place the wing above you so it doesn’t touch the water
  • You can already start to move in this position by adjusting the wind grip of the wing
  • Still with the wing in the air, raise your front leg and stabilize yourself
  • Raise your front leg and stabilize yourself, lift up fully with one leg in the middle of the board and the other at the mast
  • Pump your foil to gain speed

GeoStrut controlled curvature exoskeleton: The ergonomic curved strut increases stiffness and performance, creating a more stable centre profile that can still depower and produce less lift when you’re towing the wing. The concave side of the curve creates a stiffer frame in our wing foil rental by Accrokite.

GeoStrut controlled curvature exoskeleton

The concave side of the curve creates a stiffer frame, so there is less deflection and deformation in flight. The curved strut design also makes the wing more ergonomic and comfortable, bringing the forward handles closer to your body, and moving the rear handles away so you’re in a more natural position when sheeted in.

GripLock handles and intuitive Y-handles

The internal reinforcement is sewn within the handle to the strut, creating a strong, wobble-free connection with just enough stiffness for the handle to maintain its shape. The elliptical/hexagonal foam shape is more twist-resistant to the webbing around it, and the softer webbing material is comfortable in your hands, has very little twist in the handle, but is still flexible enough to fold up and pack away easily. The low-profile handles are positioned in the prime location for centre of effort, and in the best place to trim the wing and make transitions more intuitive. The Y-handles allow you to move from kneeling to standing and perform transitions and tricks more intuitively.
