These Terms of Sale govern every order placed on accrokite-kohphangan.com with Accrokite Koh Phangan, 101/2 Moo 1, Thong Sala, Koh Phangan, Suratthani 84280, Thailand (“Accrokite”, “we”). Placing an order implies full acceptance of these terms.
We sell kitesurf and wingfoil lessons taught to IKO and IWO standards, IKO professional courses (ATC, ITC, IRC, First Aid / CPR), equipment rental, and second-hand equipment. Lesson descriptions, levels, durations and group sizes are those shown on each course page.
Prices are shown in Thai baht (THB), per person and inclusive of tax. Lesson prices include the full equipment set, the progression card and insurance, unless stated otherwise on the page. IKO membership and certification fees are not included: they are paid by the candidate directly to IKO on ikointl.com. We may change prices at any time; the price applicable is the one displayed when the order is placed.
Lessons can be booked through the online booking form or by contacting us. Payment is made by bank card through Stripe, our payment service provider, over a secure connection; we never have access to your card details. The order is confirmed by email once payment has been accepted.
Lesson times are agreed with the school according to wind, tide and availability. Sessions are held at the spot chosen by the team on the day, in line with the conditions and your level.
Lessons booked online are valid for 18 months from the date of purchase. If there is no wind during your stay, the lessons that have not been taken are refunded, less the payment processing fee retained by Stripe (7%). If the wind is too light on a given day, the session is rescheduled rather than lost, in agreement with you.
Any request to change or cancel must reach us by email or WhatsApp. A session cancelled at least 24 hours in advance is rescheduled at no cost. Below that, the session may be counted as taken, except in case of unfavourable weather or a duly justified medical reason.
For safety reasons, we may postpone or cancel a session (storm, dangerous sea state, equipment failure, instructor unavailable). In that case the session is rescheduled or refunded, at your choice.
In accordance with Article 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services supplied on a specific date or during a specific period. Our cancellation and no-wind terms above apply instead. For second-hand equipment collected on site, the sale is final once the item has been handed over and checked.
The price shown covers the training given by the school. Registration with IKO and the associated fees are the candidate’s responsibility and are paid on ikointl.com. Entry requirements (IKO level, minimum age, valid certificates) are stated on each course page and must be met on the first day of the course.
Rented equipment remains the property of Accrokite. It is handed over in working order and must be returned in the same condition at the agreed time. A buoyancy vest, a lycra and a safety helmet are supplied free of charge with every rental. The renter is responsible for any loss or damage caused by improper use, and a deposit may be required. We may refuse a rental if the conditions or the renter’s level make it unsafe.
Second-hand items are sold as described, in the condition stated on the product page, with no warranty other than the legal warranties applicable. They are collected at the school in Thong Sala; we do not ship.
Standard lessons are open from the age of twelve; adapted programmes are available for children aged about eight to ten. Participants must be able to swim and must report any medical condition that could affect their safety. The instructor may end a session if safety is no longer assured, without entitlement to a refund for the session in progress.
Lessons are taught by IKO or IWO certified instructors, with a maximum of two students per instructor, and follow the written IKO safety and rescue standard. Insurance for the practice of the sport during lessons is included. It does not replace personal travel or health insurance, which we strongly recommend.
Kitesurfing and wingfoil are outdoor sports that carry inherent risks. Accrokite is liable for the proper delivery of its services and for the safety instructions given. We cannot be held liable for damage resulting from failure to follow instructions, from concealing a medical condition, or from personal belongings left unattended at the school.
Any complaint should first be addressed to info@accrokite-kohphangan.com. Consumers resident in the European Union may also use the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Data collected when an order is placed is processed as set out in our Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by Thai law. Consumers resident in the European Union keep the benefit of the mandatory protective provisions of the law of their country of residence.
